Reading to Kids Monthly Book Clubs

Reading to Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting childhood education and literacy in the Los Angeles area, particularly within under-resourced communities. Come join us for one of our monthly reading clubs hosted at eight local elementary schools (all within 5 miles of USC). At our clubs, pairs of volunteers partner with small groups of children currently in kindergarten to fifth grade. Volunteers read aloud the book of the month, play exciting games with the children, complete a colorful craft that relates to the story, and distribute unique prizes at the end of each session. These clubs are an incredible opportunity for participants to spend a lively, enjoyable morning connecting with the local community, while providing critical support for children’s learning and reading skills.
