Charity vs. Solidarity in Educational Activism

  • Saturday, February 20, 2021
  • 12:00 PM-1:00 PM

As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Education at the Rossier School of Education, Dr. Briana Hinga is passionate about doing research in the development of critical consciousness with a specialization in Learning, Cognition, and Development as well as Educational Policy and Social Context. With an intersectional lens, she is interested in how educational research can expose contradictions between equitable ideals of education systems versus historically developed and lived realities of such systems.

On the 20th of February, 2021, Dr. Hinga will be hosting a workshop on the distinction between charity and solidarity.

All times are in PST.
