  • On Wednesday, 2/1/17, the Elections Commission heard a two individual cases against the Rachel & Rebecca Presidential ticket regarding an early start to physical campaigning. Because of the lack of evidence, lack of intent, and lack of blatant disregard for the Elections Code, the Commission’s verdict includes one strike in the form of a formal written warning to the presidential ticket. If you would like a copy of the audio recording or have any questions, please contact USG Associate Director of Elections, Katherine Lee, at usgelect@usc.edu. • On Wednesday, 2/8/17, the Elections Commission heard an individual’s case against the Austin & Morgan Presidential ticket regarding an alleged violation concerning an individual who is a member of USG campaigning on behalf of the Austin & Morgan ticket. The Elections Commission unanimously found that no infraction had occurred. The individual was permitted via Elections Code to “publicly support [a] campaign” and was not a member of the Austin & Morgan campaign team. Based on the Elections Code, the Austin & Morgan ticket bears no accountability for the evidence presented during this hearing. If you have any questions, please contact USG Associate Director of Elections, Katherine Lee, at usgelect@usc.edu.
